The present invention relates to an LCD module including a backlight unit (BLU) for a liquid crystal display device using a light source. The LCD module of the present invention includes a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and a BLU providing a light on the rear of the LCD panel. The BLU includes: a frame to keep the shape of the BLU; a sheet part stacked with a number of sheets to transmit a light emitted from the light source and then to supply the transmitted light to the LCD panel by being located in the center of the frame; a curtain tape to prevent light leakage and to place the LCD panel by being located on the side of the frame; and a step compensation tape to compensate step which is height difference between the curtain tape and the sheet part, by being located on the sheet part. According to the present invention, xanthochromic phenomenon can be improved which is generated by contact of the LCD panel to the sheet part during air zero gap bonding process by using the step compensation tape during the manufacturing process of the BLU.
