PURPOSE: An independent pitch control system of an aerogenerator and a method thereof are provided to control the pitch angle of each blade by measuring the torsional moment of the blade separately, thereby skipping installation of sensors which are hard to be handled on a blade root unit. CONSTITUTION: An independent pitch control system of an aerogenerator includes a main control unit (110), a pitch control unit (120), a torsional moment measuring unit (150), an independent pitch control unit (160), and a calculation unit (170). The main control unit delivers the pitch angle setup information of a blade according to how much wind changes. The pitch control unit generates a pitch angle request signal which is commonly applied to a pitch motor according to the pitch angle setup information which is delivered from the main control unit in real time. The torsional moment measuring unit measures the torque which is applied to each pitch motor, and calculates the torsional moment (Mz) of each blade. The independent pitch angle control unit generates an independent pitch angle request signal based on the torsional moment which is fed back. The calculation unit adds the independent pitch angle request signal to the pitch angle request signal, and independently controls the torque of each pitch motor.
