The present invention relates to a preparation method for an activated carbon using food waste. Provided is a preparation method for an activated carbon using food waste comprising the steps of: A) injecting a moisture controlling agent and microorganisms into food waste in a reactor, and fermenting and degrading the food waste to achieve a moisture content of 30-40 wt% while agitating the food waste; B) increasing the temperature of the reactor to 200C under a vacuum degree of 100-200 mmHg and a temperature increase rate of 2-3C/min; and C) increasing the temperature of the reactor to 500-550C under a vacuum degree of 100-200 mmHg and a temperature increase rate of 7-8C/min to prepare the activated carbon.
