The present invention relates to a thermoplastic composite using a continuous fiber reinforced prepreg sheet and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing the thermoplastic composite using the continuous fiber reinforced prepreg sheet comprising: a first step of supplying materials in order to sequentially laminate the materials in the order of continuous fiber reinforced prepreg sheet-molten resin- fiber reinforced mat-molten resin- fiber reinforced mat-molten resin-continuous fiber reinforced prepreg sheet in double belt press (DBP) for manufacturing GMT; a second step of maintaining the sum of the weight of the reinforced fiber contained in the continuous fiber reinforced prepreg sheet and the weight of the fiber reinforced mat contained in a side, in which the continuous fiber reinforced prepreg is attached, so that the sum becomes equal to the weight of the fiber reinforced mat contained in an opposite side to the side, in which the continuous fiber reinforced prepreg is attached; and a third step of producing a thermoplastic composite by laminating the continuous fiber reinforced prepreg sheet on the molten resin and fiber reinforced mat while the continuous fiber reinforced prepreg sheet passes through a laminating zone. The present invention obtains more physical properties than that of GMP and enables absorption improvement and weight reduction, thereby being usefully used in automobile parts and, especially, in a pumper.
