PURPOSE: A marker set for identifying sex and/or distinguishing individuals using SNP is provided to ensure usefulness of short amplicon and genotyping technique of high efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An SNP marker for identifying sex comprises three SNP markers for identifying sex detected in amelogenin gene(AMELX and AMELY) and three SNP markers detected in zinc finger protein gene(ZFX and ZFY). The SNP marker of amelogenin gene(AMELX and AMELY) is placed at base sequence #5139(C/T), #5196(C/G), and #5232(C/T). The SNP marker of zinc finger protein gene(ZFX and ZFY) is place at base sequence #60664(C/T), #60751(C/T), and #60766(A/G).
