The present invention relates to a two stage power transmission device for vehicles and a multistage power transmission device using the same, comprising a sun gear shaft connected with an input shaft which receives a driving force from the outside; a first stage sun gear which is fixed to the sun gear shaft and rotates integrally with the sun gear shaft; a second stage sun gear spaced apart from the first stage sun gear at a predetermined interval; a first stage planetary gear set geared with the first stage sun gear; a second stage planetary gear set geared with the second stage sun gear; a ring gear geared with the inner circumferential surfaces of the first stage planetary gear set and the second stage planetary gear set at the same time to generate capacity; a one-way bearing for controlling a rotational direction of a first stage planetary gear carrier connected with the first stage planetary gear set; and a brake device for controlling rotation or stop of a second stage planetary gear carrier connected with the second stage planetary gear set.
