The present invention relates to an operating system and a method for risk evaluation according to a maintenance plan of a nuclear power plant, and provides a system and a method for operating a risk evaluation system contributing to a secure operation of a nuclear power plant by predicting and evaluating a risk according to an equipment test or maintenance made or conducted periodically or intermittently in a nuclear power plant. According to the present invention, work schedule information is determined and generated according to a degree of evaluated risk, and changes are reflected based on results of reviewing a basic work schedule including discrepancies between previously devised plan received from a person in charge of a work plan and a comprehensive regular/periodic examination manager and work schedule information and contents to be changed, thus quickly check a changed work schedule.
