The present invention relates to a power equipment fault detection system with an ultrasonic sound scanning device. The power equipment fault detection system includes the ultrasonic sound scanning device in which cone-shaped narrow-band ultrasonic wave collection devices are arranged in a circle around a CCD camera. The present invention arranges narraw-band sensors with a narrow signal collection orientation angle around the CCD camera in a circle, analyzes the correlation of a signal collected from the same, and composes the signal on an image photographed by the CCD camera so as to visualize location and strength and detect and determine a fault location and a degradation state of power equipment efficiently and accurately.
