The present invention relates to a functional food composition and the functional food comprises a perilla sprout extract, rape sprout extract, or a mixture thereof as an active ingredient and promotes cell growth, and a method to prepare the same; and the composition is active in significantly promoting cell growth, thereby being effective in recovering a patients energy and the damaged cells after an anti-cancer treatment.
