The present invention relates to a composition containing a hydroxychalcone compound, as an active ingredient, for inhibiting angiogenesis. The compounds of the present invention have remarkable angiogenesis inhibition effects in the chorioallantoic membrane model, and thus can be used as a pharmaceutical composition and a dietary supplement for preventing and treating diseases caused by angiogenesis.
