The present invention relates to a needle leaf tree drying method using overheated steam which stably removes moisture and rosin from wood obtained from needle leaf trees, easily dry the wood with the specific water content, and simply control the water content of the wood. The needle leaf tree drying method comprises the following steps: a fresh wood natural drying step; an initial weight measuring step of inserting the naturally dried wood into a drying chamber, and measuring the initial weight using a weight measuring device; an overheated steam drying step of producing the overheated steam at 400-600 by heating water, reducing the temperature of the overheated steam to 300-350 for drying before inserting into the drying chamber, and heating the wood in high temperatures and high pressure; a dried weight measuring step of measuring the weight of the wood during the overheated steam drying step; a water content calculating step of comparing the initial weight and the dried weight of the wood to obtain the change of the water content of the wood; and a wood cooling and aging step of stopping the insertion of the overheated steam when the desired water content of the wood is obtained, and naturally cooling and aging the wood.
