The present invention relates to a holding unit only for a CFT circular steel pipe column, capable of accurately maintaining and fixating a vertical rate and an installation direction of the CFT circular steel pipe constructed in advance in a top-down construction method; a structure of a CFT circular steel pipe column using the holding unit; and a construction method for the same. The holding unit comprises a holding unit having a pair of guide grooves and a connection unit integrating a pair of the holding units. The CFT circular steel pipe column comprises a circular steel pipe of which the lower end is closed; one or more level plates installed on the outer surface of the circular steel pipe; and a guide rail.
