Provided are a barcode scan apparatus used for a safety inspection system with improved convenience of history trace and information management of an equipment to be measured and an information inputting method thereof. A barcode scanning unit outputs barcode data by scanning the barcode attached to the equipment to be measured, a UI type determination unit determines a UI type corresponding to the equipment to be measured by reading the output barcode data, a UI configuration unit corresponds to the determined UI type and configures a UI which includes a plurality of information input menus to receive the information on the equipment to be measured, and an information storage unit mapping-stores the input information on identification information of the equipment to be measured if a user automatically or manually inputs information corresponding to the information input menus of the configured UI.
