The present invention relates to a message security method in a physical layer and an apparatus for transmitting a security message using the same. The method includes the steps of: calculating communication break probability occurring when a security message is not decoded at a predetermined ratio by a receiver in the state that the distance between a transmitter and the receiver is d; calculating security break probability occurring when a portion of the security message is decoded by at least one tap and the transmitter forms a security protection area; calculating a security transmission rate based on the communication break probability and the security break probability; and acquiring a transmission ratio () of the security message, which is capable of maximizing the security transmission rate by defining the transmission ratio of the security message as ^*=min{K^(-1)_(0),1}, and checking codes, K_().
