The present invention relates to a differential phase difference value correction method. According to the present invention, an error information of a differential phase difference value that is primitive data value (raw data) which is measured by a dual polarization radar is corrected so that reliability can be ensured for a non-differential phase difference value and rainfall estimation can be accurate. The present invention includes a step in which it is determined whether a differential phase difference is folded at a gate corresponding to each azimuth and the differential phase difference at the gate is unfolded if the differential phase difference at the gate is determined to be folded; and a noise removal and restoration step in which the presence of noise of the differential phase difference at the gate is determined, the gate removes the differential phase difference if the differential phase difference at the gate is determined to be the noise, and then restoration is performed by using an average differential phase difference value of a predetermined number of gates preceding and following the corresponding gate.
