The present invention relates to a butterfly valve which includes a valve body made of a cast iron or a cast iron alloy material and having a flow passage; a shaft made of a stainless steel material, connected to the valve body, and rotating by operation of an opening/closing mechanism; a disk fixed to the shaft to be rotatably mounted to the valve body and opening/closing the flow passage of the valve body by rotation of the shaft; a metal sheet installed at the flow passage of the valve body to primarily come in contact with an outer circumference of the disk for forward water sealing; a solid sheet overlapped with and installed on the metal sheet to secondarily come in contact with the outer circumference of the disk for reverse water sealing; and a pressing plate overlapped with and installed on the solid sheet to press and fix the solid sheet and the metal sheet to the valve body so as to prevent the solid sheet and the metal sheet from being separated and deformed. By providing a two-way metal sheet sealing structure of a butterfly valve in which two-step, two-way sealing is possible, the sealing between the valve disk and the metal sheet is maintained in a stable state by elastic deformation of the metal sheet even when the butterfly valve is used for a long period, and thus reliability of the product is improved.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
