The present invention relates to a carbon removal apparatus which elevates along the inner wall of a riser tube of a coke oven and simultaneously can remove carbon which adheres to the inner wall. The carbon removal apparatus in the present invention comprises: a supporting plate; a motor installed on the bottom of the supporting plate; a link chain coupled to the motor, and rotating while colliding with the carbon which adheres to the inner wall of the riser tube to remove the carbon; an elevating part connected to the supporting plate by wires and elevating the supporting plate inside the riser tube; and supports coupled to the upper side of the supporting plate and preventing the supporting plate from being shaken in a removal process of carbon.
