FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to surgery. Osteomyelitis involved tissues of the anterior chest wall are removed. A thoracoabdominal flap is selected for transposition taking into account an anatomy of main feeding vessels. A single donor fasciocutaneous flap is marked and formed. A thoracic portion of the flap is formed in the side opposite to the recipient region. A wide base of the flap is selected in the lateral mesogastric region with an anterior axillary line as a reference. The cut-out flap is rotated through the median line closing a wound defect of the recipient region at the same time. The investing tissue of the donor region is absent by the mobilisation capabilities of the stomach skin and the investing tissue of the anterior chest wall. A single suture line is applied on the donor and recipient regions.;EFFECT: method enables eliminating a pocket of chronic purulent infection radically in a combination with filling the chest wall, revascularising a resection region by the donor flap, restoring the protective function of the anterior chest wall following the radical surgical debridement of the chronic osteomyelitis lesion.;5 dwg, 1 ex
