1. A method for determining a model of a physical property in an underground region based on the inversion of seismic data recorded as a result of a seismic study of the underground region, or based on reverse migration in the time domain of seismic images from seismic data, the method comprising determining a location-dependent volume of seismic resolution for a physical property, the indicated volume of seismic resolution represents the smallest volume in which the seismic data m can be resolved at a given location in the geological environment, and the use of the volume of seismic resolution as a multiplicative, depending on the location of the scale factor in the calculations performed on the computer, to transform the gradient of data mismatch during inversion or compensation of seismic images that are migrated back in time to obtain a model of physical property or update the proposed model. 2. The method according to claim 1, further comprising multiplying the mismatch gradient of the data or back-migrated in the time domain of the seismic images by additional scale factors, including the source illumination coefficient, receiver illumination coefficient and the surrounding medium property coefficient, in order to obtain a physical property model or update the proposed model .3. The method of claim 1, wherein the volume of the seismic resolution is determined by ray tracing using speed from a model of the enclosing medium and using the estimated frequency function for the seismic pulse.
