A device for providing access to a part of the vehicle under the driver's cab, mainly for an industrial or commercial or specialized vehicle, containing means for providing a longitudinal sliding forward movement of the cab. The device according to claim 1, in which the means for ensuring the longitudinal sliding movement of the cab forward comprises telescopic guides used under the floor of the cab, attached to the floor of the cab or to the side elements of the vehicle frame, suitable for movement, or rollers. The device according to claim 2, in which the telescopic guides are pairs of telescopic guides in the longitudinally symmetrical parts of the cab floor. The device according to claim 3, in which the telescopic guides have a constant and rectilinear cross-section, having the shape of an inverted omega, and the rollers have a middle groove in which the guides move. A device according to any of the preceding claims, further comprising centering devices suitable for locking the cab and movable rails when the vehicle is in a moving state.
