Claimed is method of obtaining gas-tight ceramics based on cerium oxide and barium cerate by sintering powders with composition 0.3BaCe0.8Gd0.2O3-δ-0.7Ce0.8Gd0.2O2-δ, synthesised by method of solid-phase synthesis or method of burning nitrates and citric acid. Before sintering 1 mol % of Ba2CuO3 is added to powders, which ensures formation of liquid phase of barium cuprate in the process of burning and quick sintering and compression of ceramics at lower temperatures.;EFFECT: reduction of temperature of sintering and time of powder exposure time and energy consumption connected with it without deterioration of electric properties of obtained ceramics.;2 ex, 1 tbl, 1 dwg
