Measured parameters vR, vW are used to define strip speed v1-v4 and v2-v5. On the basis of inlet depth d1-d4, speed v1-v4 and speed v2-v5 defined is strip depth d2-d5. Measured parameter vW for strip speed v1-v4 can be represented by roll circumferential speed vW at mill stand 1-4 ahead of stand 2-5. Advance of strip 6 in appropriate mill stand 2-5 is simulated.
