Proposed device consists of armature, traction motor excitation winding, field attenuation resistor and contactor. Field attenuation control circuit comprises microprocessor control unit, current transducer connected in traction motor armature winding and voltage transducer connected in power transformer auxiliary winging, and one electronic switch (IGBT-transistor). Electronic switch collector (k) is connected with field attenuation resistor connected parallel with excitation winding via contactor and emitter (e) is connected with excitation winding minus bus, while electronic switch control outlet is connected with microprocessor control unit receiving the data from current and voltage transducers.;EFFECT: higher power factor of electric locomotive, decreased sine current distortion coefficient, reduced power consumption.;3 dwg
