The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a starting solution which is a nitrate solution containing said actinide and/or lanthanide in form of nitrates of actinide and/or lanthanide and uranium in form of a hydroxide complex of uranyl nitrate; passing said solution through a cation-exchange resin containing carboxyl groups, through which the resin sorbs actinide and/or lanthanide in cationic form and uranium in uranyl form; heat treatment of said resin to obtain said fuel.;EFFECT: avoiding powder metallurgy operations for combining uranium with at least one actinide and/or lanthanide.;14 cl, 7 dwg
