FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of organic chemistry, in particular to method of obtaining 4-(1,5,3-dithiazepinan-3-yl)-benzoic and 5-(1,5,3-dithiazepinan-3-yl)-2-hydroxybenzoic acids of general formula (1) consisting in the following: aminobenzoic acid (4-aminobenzoic or 2-hydroxy-5-aminobenzoic) is subjected to interaction with 1-oxa-3,6-dithiacycloheptane in presence of catalyst Sm(NO3)3·6H2O with molar ratio aminobenzoic acid: 1-oxa-3,6-dithiacycloheptane:Sm(NO3)3·6H2O=10:10:(0.3-0.7) at room temperature (~20°C) in medium of solvents ethanol-chloroform (1:1, volume ratio) and argon atmosphere for 2.5-3.5 h.;EFFECT: elaborated is method of obtaining 4-(1,5,3-dithiazepinan-3-yl)-benzoic and 5-(1,5,3-dithiazepinan-3-yl)-2-hydroxybenzoic acids.;1 tbl, 1 ex
