The present invention provides a method and apparatus (1) for providing elliptic rubber stopper (2) is available, which can provide trouble-free and uniformly elliptic rubber stopper with a mounting side of the rubber stopper, without blocking the delivery route with the rubber stopper. The apparatus for providing elliptic rubber stopper blows alternately a gas on the rubber stopper, like a minor axis direction of the rubber stopper from a blowing direction of the gas; and brings in this state the rubber stopper into an elliptical first opening. Also, the apparatus comprises a first shape-dependent alignment part (5) for the form-dependent orientation of the rubber stopper. The first shape-dependent alignment part has a rubber plug-receiving part and a pair of air outlet openings for periodically and alternately blowing a gas onto both side surfaces of the rubber stopper. One of the air outlet openings is arranged on one side of the rubber plug-receiving part, the other is disposed on the other side thereof. The air outlet openings are offset from each other in an axial direction of the rubber stopper.
