The ceiling element has ceiling panel (1) and several side by side spaced strip-shaped contact plates (2) arranged and attached on the upper side of ceiling panel, and pipe (3) for guiding a heat-carrying medium. The pipe has straight portions (4) located in an upwardly open recess formed in contact plates, and curved intermediate portions (5) for connecting straight portions or a feed line or a discharge line. The contact plates are formed from good heat-conducting plastically deformable material.
