The mechanism has an energy source comprising lower barrels and upper barrels (3, 3') coupled in parallel by a winding crown and in series, where the barrels drive a tourbillon (6) or a regulating body. Rewinding of the source is performed by winding chains. The chains include rotors (9, 9'), a reversing mechanism imposing same winding direction irrespective of rotation direction and a reducing wheel. A clutch mechanism connects each winding chain to the crown of the barrels such that each chain works individually or is in co-operation with other winding chains.
