The device (1) has a basic support i.e. bed plate (2), that is intended to receive a part to be punched such as clock element. An electrode (5) is movable with regard to the basic support. A return spring (7) is arranged to bring the electrode to the part to be punched once fixed at the support. A piezoactive actuator (8) such as piezoelectric actuator, is arranged between the support and the electrode such that any deformation of the actuator following an electric excitation is accompanied by displacement of the electrode with regard to the support. An independent claim is also included for a punching method.
