The ball mill (1) has a receiving device (16) rotatably mounted with respect to a carrier device (8) around offset planet axles. The receiving device is carried around center axles, drives for the carrier device, a drive for a milling station (10), an apparatus body (2), a tensioning device with a tensioning element for axial clamping of a milling vessel (12) in the receiving device, and a motor drive for the tensioning element. The motor drive automatically actuates clamping of the milling vessel in the receiving device.
