The method involves detecting (ST10) measuring data for the eye of the spectacle wearer, which determine a set of Zernike coefficients of a wave front aberration for a long accommodation and a another set of Zernike coefficients of a wave front aberration for a short accommodation of the eye. The objective refraction data for sphere, cylinder and axis position of the eye for close viewing is determined such that the objective refraction data satisfies certain equations for a corrected power vector for near viewing. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for objective refraction determination for an eye of a spectacle wearer; (2) a method for detecting a set of individual user data of a spectacle wearer for the adjustment and optimization of spectacles; (3) a device for detecting a set of individual user data of a spectacle wearer for the adjustment and optimization of spectacles; and (4) a computer program product.
