The modular device has running lots for small animals, which are arranged on a common treadmill. The running lots have a resting zone with motivation sources. A lot rack (1) with internal modular changeable running lots (2) is provided on a common treadmill (3), where the lot rack is formed by interchangeable longitudinal- and transverse bars (4,5). The modular changeable running lots are arranged in a grid for adjacently realized length and width through the interchangeable longitudinal- and transverse-bars.
