Carrying out pyrolytic process using a pyrolytic reactor (1) comprising a housing (2) with a receiving space (3) for the material, which is to be pyrolyzed, comprises conveying the material, which is to be pyrolyzed into a conveying device (4), and applying heat to the material, which is to be pyrolyzed in the receiving space. The energy is introduced into the material, which is to be pyrolyzed. An ultrasonic vibration with a frequency of at least 12000 Hz is introduced in a component of the pyrolytic reactor. An independent claim is also included for the pyrolytic reactor comprising the housing with the receiving space and the conveying device, which is arranged in the receiving space for conveying the material, which is to be pyrolyzed into the conveying direction, preferably for carrying out the above mentioned method, where an ultrasound generating means is designed to introduce the energy into the material, which is to be pyrolyzed, and to produce ultrasonic vibration with the frequency of at least 12000 Hz.
