The reservoir has a water-filled cylindrical outer shell that comprises an inboard floating storage unit which is equipped with a lower board, and a bottom surface with an opening (5). A riser and a gate valve (7) are provided on the opening of the bottom surface. A generator is provided on a water turbine (8). A pump (13) is provided with a valve (12) and a draft tube (14) above an emerging pressure tube (11), such that the power output of the floating storage unit is flooded.
