The tool has tool teeth fixed in a tool receiver, and plan-parallel-, plate-like cutting elements made of a carrier cutting material and releasably fixed in a tool-fixed position. Planar clamping surfaces lie on an equidistant layer made of a wear protection material (9) or super-hard cutting material (8). The surfaces comprise a tool-fixed position and direction in the receiver for the tool. The cutting elements include radial sharpening area radially protruding from the receiver, where the sharpening area is located between maximum and minimum radial distances of cutting edges (2). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for generating and sharpening a cutting edge geometry of a tool in a rolling peeling machine with CNC axles (2) a method for generating and sharpening a cutting edge geometry of a tool in a rolling peeling machine with CNC axles.
