The steam generator (1) has a pressure body (2), to which the feed water (7) is supplied by a pump (6). The feed water supplied to the pressure body is introduced in a preheating chamber (8) in the pressure body and is mixed with the water already present in the pressure body by openings (10), where the preheating chamber is separated by a partition wall (9). The introduced feed water is heated by the partition wall. The preheating chamber is an area that is differentiated from the remaining water (11) in the pressure body and stays under the same pressure as the pressure body.
