The device (10) has a receiving hopper (22) arranged below a processing region (20) of a cutting device for a baking product i.e. bread loaf (1). The hopper receives non-crushed and cut baking product portions. The hopper stays in direct flow connection with a suction pipe (30), which conveys the portions. A suction hopper (24), a suction tube (26), and a bottom-side suction hopper (28) for baking product crumbs or baking product powders are arranged above and/or below a supply region (16) and/or a removal region (18) of the cutting device. The pipe opens into a centrifugal force separator. An independent claim is also included for a suction system.
