The method involves introducing the fluid into the vehicle and pumping the fluid introduced in the vehicle into a tank (5) by a pump (6) positioned in the vehicle. The pressure inside the tank is detected, and the fluid introduced in the vehicle is pumped into the tank by the pump when the pressure inside the tank is above a threshold value, and is guided into the tank without the pump when the pressure inside the tank is not above the threshold value. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for cooling a fluid in a tank of a vehicle; (2) a device for fueling a vehicle with a fluid; and (3) a device for cooling a fluid in a tank of a vehicle.
