The system has a commercially available smartphone camera module and a memory containing latest data on color profiles of screens, smartphones, printers and reference images. An arithmetic unit has a smartphone recorded reference image of a monitor corresponding to maximum design color profiles of corrected smartphone camera, and compares resulting actual values with a setpoint value, and transmits the corrected setting data to a monitor. The corrected setting data for the monitor is transmitted on smartphones. An independent claim is also included for a calibrating method for monitors.
