The nut has a square aperture for insertion of a square of a presser. Flat metal sheet portions are firmly connected to a switching nut component with each other. The component comprises a flat metal sheet portion formed as nut levers (5) with a square opening portion with orthogonally running sides. A recess for lateral insertion of bearing sections (6, 7, 8) i.e. round bolts, is provided at the sides of the opening portion and opened to the opening portion. A slot for lateral insertion of the bearing sections into the recess is provided at the bearing sections. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembly of a switching nut.
