The belt has a belt buckle for releasable connection of two belt portions (22). A module element (12) is provided at an end of one belt portion. A receiving element (14) is provided at an opposite end of another belt portion. A single-piece protection element (30) is fixed at the receiving element such that trigger elements and an aperture (32) i.e. hole, are completely covered. Diameter of the aperture is less than 3mm. The trigger elements are actuated by a tool. The module element comprises a detent projection, which is adapted to be resiliently locked with the receiving element. The protection element is formed as a plastic injection molded part.
