The anatomy model has a base body (2) made of a solid foam material, while a coating (3) containing a fiber-epoxy composite is arranged on the base body. The fiber-epoxy composite is positioned directly on the base body. The fibers are selected from glass- or carbon fibers. The foam material has a material selected from the polystyrene foam and polyurethane foam. The base body has base structure (1) made of wood, plastic, metal or cardboard. Another coating is provided outside the former coating, which is formed as a color coat (4) or lacquer coat (5). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing an anatomy model.
