The system has a suction lance (10) for removing fluid from a container (B). A pair of piston pumps (20, 30) sucks the fluid via the suction lance and conveys the fluid to spraying nozzles (50). Each of the piston pumps is operated with compressed gas, and includes an end switch for detecting an end position of a piston. The piston pumps are operated in opposite directions so that one of the piston pumps (20) sucks the fluid from the container while the other pump (30) discharges the fluid in a direction of the spraying nozzles. An independent claim is also included for a method for conveying fluid from a container to a spraying nozzle.
