The method involves activating an entertainment system (11) for providing a three-dimensional program on the three-dimensional display device (10,12) to move a seat surface (5) or a backrest (6) of a front seat (4) in the motor vehicle (1) into a predefined three-dimensional viewing position. The predefined three-dimensional viewing position is determined by a learning process. The position of the head of the passenger is determined and the three-dimensional position is corrected as a function of the position of the head. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for adjusting a relative arrangement between a passenger and a three-dimensional display device in an interior of a motor vehicle; and (2) a display system for a motor vehicle.
