The internal combustion engine (10) has turbine wheels (36,40) that are driven by exhaust gas of engine main portion. A bypass unit (54) is provided with bypass line (56). The turbine wheel (36) is bypassed through bypass line to supply exhaust gas to turbine wheel (40). The turbine (32) is extended over the periphery of turbine housing along circumferential direction of turbine wheel (40). The flow segments (48,50,52) are arranged for guiding exhaust gas to turbine wheel. The turbine wheel (36) supplies exhaust gas to flow segments through bypass line.
