The rotor (14) has a rotor bell (20) that is provided with a solenoid arrangement having first thermal expansion coefficient provided with the permanent magnet elements (50). The magnet arrangement is press fitted with a cross linked duroplastic material. The second thermal expansion coefficient and cure temperature of the cross linked duroplastic material is higher than the maximum operating temperature of the electrical machine (10). The first thermal expansion coefficient is less than the second thermal expansion coefficient. An independent claim is included for a method for producing rotor bell.
