The flash system (1) has a generator device (2) with control unit that is provided for supplying power to a flash head (3,3a) based on operational parameter. A communication line (6) is provided for transporting an ignition voltage of a triggering stage (9) of flash head. A filter unit (16) e.g. high pass filter is provided for separating the communication signal in generator device. The control unit of generator device or a control unit (15) of flash head is provided for deactivating the communication during firing process, such that received communication signals are discarded. An independent claim is included for an operation method of flash system.
