The method involves electrically connecting an energy storage units (3) having an electrical connection element (8) to the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is provided to determine the temperature value of the electrical connection element. The determined temperature value of the element is compared with the predetermined temperature value to determine the quality of the electrical connection. The faulty electrical connection in the vehicle (1) is signaled. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) battery assembly; and (2) battery system.
