The guard system has a counter-part slid into a lateral or lower groove-shaped recess of a carrier rail (C) i.e. open profile, and connected with a snow trap hook (D) by screwed joints (H), where the guard system is releasably connected with a girder construction of a solar system as an integral component of the girder construction. A trace heating unit is formed as an electrical heater and partially insertable in the guard system. A modular structure comprises snow-trap elements (I) arranged one above the other, where the heating unit is releasably arranged at the snow-trap elements.
