The device has a spinning beam (1) whose bottom portion (19) holds several spinning nozzles (2). A blow box (8) is held to beam and arranged in a thread shaft (27), to cool extruded filaments (7) of beam. Several mutually spaced cooling cylinders (14) with gas-permeable cylinder wall are assigned to the nozzles. A guide metal sheet (24) is arranged between blow box and preparation device (22) pivotally formed between moving and rest positions. The guide sheet and preparation device are arranged together at vertically adjustable carrier wall (21) of thread shaft through blow box.
